the bridge over the river & into our nook
In 2006, we sold our home in Florida to pursue our dream of living in the mountains. We took a binder of 13 states with properties we thought might work & embarked on a road trip with our basset hounds. When we got to Braxton County we found our little piece of heaven & purchased 33 acres in Burnsville, West Virginia. The land runs along the Little Kanawha River, and extends up over the ridge line, nestled in the nook of the hill.About 4 acres of land is cleared with a small orchard planted, poultry flocks & gardens established, and the first cottage built. The rest of the acreage is wooded. There's still much to do & learn as we walk through the realities of living out our dream.We hope you enjoy your visit at inn the nook.
